TRAVIS and MANSIO cooperate to enable hundreds of new exchange locations for relay transport

From May 2025, hundreds of new swap locations will be available through a new partnership between TRAVIS, Europe’s largest booking platform for truck services, and MANSIO, a pioneer in digital meeting traffic. Thanks to the technical integration of their systems, MANSIO users can now access up-to-date information, live availability data and location data for trailer exchange directly in their familiar environment.
What is relay transport?
Relay transport is changing the organization of long-distance road transport. Instead of one truck and one driver covering the entire route, the semi-trailers are passed from one transport partner to the next. This system ensures that the goods continue to be transported while the drivers can return to their home base after each shift. This makes transportation faster and safer and the job more attractive for drivers.
An important factor for the functioning of relay transport in practice is the right infrastructure – in particular suitable locations for trailer exchange. Most of the locations in the TRAVIS truck parking network are now also accessible to MANSIO users, which significantly expands the practical possibilities for encounter traffic.
“The integration gives transport companies access to a larger network of high-quality truck parking spaces,” explains Dr. Maik Schürmeyer, founder and CEO of MANSIO. “With more available swap points, we can plan and carry out encounter transports more efficiently and avoid unnecessary detours.”
Data-driven decisions
Thanks to the connection between the MANSIO and TRAVIS platforms, all relevant information on all parking spaces is now available in real time in the MANSIO environment. This allows MANSIO’s algorithm to dynamically determine the best exchange location – making it easier for carriers to reserve the right space at the right time and ensuring smoother planning and execution.

Beyond operations and planning, the partnership also improves the working experience for drivers. Many TRAVIS locations offer amenities such as showers, clean restrooms, truck wash facilities and 24/7 security – making every relay point a safe and comfortable rest stop.
MANSIO is a pioneer of relay transport in Europe and connects medium-sized transport companies via a digital network that enables the efficient, cross-company handover of trailers. The software also supports a shared trailer pool and handles billing between partners transparently and automatically.
